Welcome!

We are St. Clare Orphanage. Our mission is to raise the remaining funds needed to build and maintain an orphanage, which will be home to some four hundred young girls from indigenous regions in the central American country of Guatemala.

The project is a work in progress. Already, the land has been donated, the project has been blessed by Bishop Pablo Vizcaino Prado of Retalhuleu, Guatemala (the community where the orphanage will be located), and architectural drawings have been completed - all before any official fund raising began.

It is a project driven in the spirit of St. Clare, and St. Francis, and their constant reminder that it is through giving that we receive.

It is our prayer that as you visit our website - that your heart will be touched - by the beautiful children who will be served - by the tremendous need for a safe place for these children to live, learn and grow in spirit and in love in this third world, Central American country  - and by the story that was and is the beginning of St. Clare Orphanage .
